Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the brewiee website and the brewiee app for iOS and Android (together, the "Service"). By tapping "I'm 21+" or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility: Strictly 21+
The Service is strictly for people aged 21 and over who are of legal drinking age under the laws that apply to them. When you open the app, you must confirm that you are 21 or older. Confirming this when it is not true is a breach of these Terms. If you choose "Not for me", the app will be unavailable on that device for 24 hours.
2. What brewiee Provides
brewiee helps you discover breweries, beers, events, and community ratings, and get recommendations. brewiee does not sell, deliver, serve, or arrange the purchase of alcohol. Breweries and venues remain responsible for checking your age before serving you.
3. Accounts
- You sign in with a link sent to your email address. Keep your email account secure.
- Do not share sign-in links or your account with anyone else.
- Tell us promptly if you think your account has been used without permission.
- You can delete your account at any time from Profile > Settings.
4. Your Content
You own the ratings, reviews, and other content you post ("User Content"). You give brewiee a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, format, and moderate your User Content to operate and improve the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in routine backups or where we must keep them for legal or security reasons.
You confirm you have the right to post your User Content and that it does not break anyone's privacy, intellectual property, or other rights. We may remove or restrict content that breaks these Terms or puts users or the Service at risk.
5. What You Must Not Do
- Post content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading, discriminatory, or infringing.
- Pretend to be someone else, or misrepresent a connection with a brewery.
- Try to get around the age confirmation, usage limits, or location restrictions.
- Scrape, reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or test the security of the Service, except where the law expressly allows it.
- Use bots, send spam, or use the Service for unauthorised advertising.
6. Drink Responsibly
Drink responsibly and never drink and drive. Beer details such as alcohol content, ingredients, and allergens, along with prices, opening hours, events, menus, and distances, may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Check anything important with the brewery or venue. The Service does not give medical, dietary, legal, or safety advice.
7. Recommendations and Third-Party Information
beeQ and other recommendations are automated suggestions, not promises about quality, safety, suitability, or availability. Some brewery, beer, map, event, and menu information comes from breweries or other third parties. We are not responsible for third-party venues, services, transactions, or content, and their own terms apply.
8. brewiee's Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, name, logo, design, and original content, belongs to brewiee or its licensors. These Terms do not let you use brewiee's name, logo, or other assets outside normal use of the Service.
9. Changes, Suspension, and Ending Access
We may change, pause, or remove features, especially during the beta. We may restrict or end your access where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with the law, or keep the Service secure. You can stop using the Service or delete your account at any time.
10. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without promises that it will always be available, accurate, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent the law allows, brewiee is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, reliance on brewery or beer information, the conduct of others, or loss of data. This does not apply where liability cannot be limited by law.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. Disputes will be heard by a court with jurisdiction in India unless the law requires otherwise.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will update the date above and, for important changes, ask you to review and accept the updated Terms in the app. If you keep using the Service after updated Terms take effect, you accept them.
14. General
If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part of these Terms is not a waiver of it. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and brewiee about the Service.
15. Contact
For questions, complaints, or legal notices, contact [email protected].
